I must have every Nfu-Oh polish. They are numbered, rather than named, like the little works of art they are. Since they are numbered, I need to start with 1, and collect them all. My collection is currently #51 and #60. The bottles look like a dress with a corset top. And it has boobs! <3! Look how pretty:
The Nfu-Ohs are pretty sheer, so I end up using three coats. I think it looks like stained glass when you layer all those big, fat hunks of glitter on top of each other. The blue-purple polish that the glitter is suspended in is right up my alley! I am going to call this my most beautiful polish.

OPI Paint Your Moji-toes Red and Rescue Beauty Lounge Starfish Partrick
I don't think that the OPI is as red as its name would have you believe. It's a creamy, softer orange-y red. So, I paired it with a pastel-y orange. Since May is Friday, and where I live, May is pretty much the start of summer, I give you the bridge the gap combo: a little pastel, but mostly bright and fun.
also, holy crap my nails are long right now. Wow, I am shocked.

regular posting schedule shall resume tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the ladies in the links. There are also a couple shopping links in there. Oh, and Fabulous Street must've gotten new stock, because I was able to order what I consider to be my holy grail, #51.
Peace, love, and pretty polishes to you!

China Glaze Bahamanian Escape and Chanel L.A. Sunrise
Even though it is 95 flippin' degrees outside, it's still technically spring. I need a better camera (rather than my phone) because the Konad tips on my fingers are yellow and blue to match my polish. The blue on the ring finger's tip is too dark to match the pale Bahamanian Escape (what a great name) on my other nails. Oh well!
Ordered Konad two more plates and two more polishes for 20% off at OC Nail Art. Don't forget to click through the ladies over there *points to right side column* and find one with the coupon code! And hurry, because I don't know how much longer Kathleen is going to run this awesome sale.
please excuse my gnarly cuticles.

China Glaze Silver Platinum and Color Club Soiree
Today, I bring you San Antonio Spurs nails. See, I like the Spurs. I don't live in San Antonio. In fact, tonight's tomorrow's game will be San Antonio vs. my hometown team, the Mavericks. I don't even care. I like the Spurs. It's too bad my favorite player is out the rest of the season, or I would dub this combo "Manuuuuuuuuuuuu!"

Color Club French Tip with OPI Princesses Rule and ORLY It's Not Me, It's You
I went to a barbecue Monday afternoon. Service industry folk often have Mondays off, so we all gathered and cooked out. Someone's girlfriend had on a gorgeous white dress with black flowers and pale pink ribbon straps. I wanted those colors in today's nails, so I chose matte pastel pink and a bright white with a pink glitter coat. For the Konad design, I chose the cherry blossoms for the toes, because I don't care if they're not really straight, because I'm just a-practicing. I wish the manicure were straighter on the tips. But, my nails aren't exactly long, so I'll take what I can get.
Update: the pink polish chipped. I'm gonna blame the Seche Clear base coat. I usually go with Sally Hansen, but I am just about out. I can't tilt the bottle far enough over to get enough out, yet I can't throw it out until I have a new one. (Yes, I know how crazy this little rant makes me sound). So, I re-did the ring fingers, using contrasting white dots this time.

China Glaze Entourage and GR8
I buy a lot of stuff online. I have linked some of my fave online retailers. 8ty8 isn't shipping right now. I don't know if they'll be back or not. Head2Toe still ships. Fairly quickly, too. And has great prices. That's where I got the Entourage, which is from the Kicks collection. I have a few others in that particular collection that I covet, but budget's a little lean this month, so they'll have to wait. I like that green-ness of GR8 complements the subtle shimmer in Entourage. Again, since I'm using a camera phone, there's a lot of subtlety that goes unphotographed.

Fun with Konad
So, the Konad arrived. They're still running the sale at OC Nail Art. They also do international shipping. I already want need several new plates and some of the other special polishes.
So, first up, I Konad-ed little cherry blossoms on top of the fun orange from Saturday.
Then, I painted a white all over, and started playing with the stamper. I love the bow. I hate that the fishnets are not perfectly even.
So, I'll probably be using Konads for a while so that I can get good at it. Or at least make them even.

China Glaze Let's Shower Together and OPI Tangerine Dream
It's raining again. I get it, April showers...blah blah blah. Today's fun happy colors are a bright blue creme and my superhappyfunbright orange. I bought this superhappyfunbright orange ring the day of the infamous springtime or Halloween manicure of recent. I have actually used both these colors recently, but not together. That's the beauty of the two-tones. I have about 100 polishes. So many combos!
OMG! I hear a delivery truck. Please be the Konad! Please be the Konad! Please be the Konad!

Lancome Le Magnetique Bordeaux Esmee and China Glaze Platinum Silver
And lo, the angels did sing, and the heavens did part, and the Ebay and the USPS did deliver unto me a Lancome magnetic nail polish. From the fall 2007 collection, please welcome the newly beloved Bordeaux Esmee to the big box o'polish. SCIENCE MANI/PEDI!
This polish has metallic particles in it. It comes with a magnet attached to the tiny bottle. I mean SRSLY:
granted, I do have giant man-hands, but still...
You put on one coat, and let it dry. You put on the second coat, and while it's still wet, you hold the magnet to it for five seconds. It creates a lovely starburst design. Then, I layered Seche Vite over it, so it looks like tiger's eye gemstones on my nails. The design was quite difficult to accomplish on the pigs, so once again, I'm showing you the matching manicure. I'll more often than not show you both from now on. Behold:
the pigs (which I am very meh about, just because the design was difficult to achieve and all)
and, the mani, which came out awesome, because I got better as I went. By the time I got to my right thumb nail (always painted last), I had figured to kind of turn the magnet for a bigger design. Neat.

Nfu-Oh #60 and Essie Lacy, Not Racy
The mail came early today. My Nfu-Oh polish from Fabulous Street arrived. First of all, I have never loved a polish more. I can see a large portion of my income going to Fabulous Street. I got #60, which is a sheer black with big, fat hunks of coppery glittery. I used three coats, because I just couldn't stop looking at it. It's just gorgeous!
After looking at it in the sun, I've decided it looks like stained glass. I <3 it so much. I hope I make a lot of money tonight, because I have already picked out the next ones I'm going to order.

Essie Lacy, Not Racy with China Glaze Golden Enchantment topcoat
this is technically not a two-tone. However, the Easter colors were a five-tone, so I got a little lazy. When I got home from Easter at my mom's house, I wanted a change and quick. So, I went for this. I took pictures in the sunlight, so you can see the sparkle. I will invest in a camera soon, I promise.

pastel multi!
Too many colors to put in the title. I used one coat of Color Club French Tip as a secondary base coat. I wanted the pastels to really pop and be completely opaque. So, I'll show you three pictures today.
the pigs
the matching manicure. Side note: I really wish I had a bunny ring or a bow ring for this one
the eight (!) polishes it took to accomplish this. From R to L: Sally Hansen nail brightener base coat, Color Club French Tip, Essie Greenport, ORLY It's Not Me; It's You, Chanel L.A. Sunrise, China Glaze Bahamanian Escape, and OPI Parlez Vous OPI? , and Seche Vite dry fast top coat
See, it's a good thing I don't have a Konad, because I would have gone bananas with polka dots and stripes and zig zags. It would have looked like little easter eggs on my nails.
Oh, speaking of Konads, several of the girls over there *points to links* have banded with OC Nail Art to offer a 20% discount on Konads, and they're running the sale throughout April (I think). So, I will be soon getting my Konad. Click through, find one of the girls with the discount and let's get to stamping!

China Glaze Shower Together with Wireless holo top coat and GR8
The colors are gorgeous. The GR8 (I hate typing its name) flashed green and blue. However, it was also my primary color on my nails and it chipped. I am quite fastidious about my nails (clearly), and am not a fan of easily chippable polishes. However, I am pretty sure that's a symptom of the holo, because most China Glazes work justfinethankyouverymuch.
